You may have some permanent damage and your voice, but I would guess that eventually your voice will begin slowly healing itself. I would try regular warm salt water gargles. Have you had a chance to check out my singing course, superior singing method? You can find it here along with some free video singing tips. http://www.superiorsingingmethod.com

Best of luck to you with your singing!

Olive oil is very good for your body, but it has very little effect on your singing ability. :)

Stephen, yes these are normal problems and all of which I can help you to fix with my course superior singing method. Have you had a chance to check it out?

http://www.howtosing.com/sing-better-fast-ssm/

Best of luck to you with your singing, and I would say just go for play and sing out, and you will get better and better at it over time. My course will help you to get there faster and with better technique, though.

Aaron,

I've been playing guitar for about 12 years and all my friends tell me that I should start playing live in front of people, but I feel my voice just isn't there yet.. A lot of the songs I sing I feel i can sing fine but when I have the guitar going I run out of breathe? Maybe I get to into the music while I play and sing simultaneously.. I also feel like I have a harder time going from a lower note to a higher note, while having a much easier (less tension on throat and more consistently hitting the notes I want to hit) going from higher to lower.. are these normal problems?

Thanks,

Stephen
